We see in Hebrews 4:2,
For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them: (them are the Hebrews coming out of Egypt).
BUT DID NOT PROFIT THEM,
not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
(Read Hebrews chapters 3 and 4).
The word “mixed” is 4786 in Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible,
it means to commingle, i.e. (fig) to combine or assimilate, mix with, temper together.
The World Book Dictionary – says – assimilate – to take in and make a part of oneself;
So, let’s mix God’s word with faith (Romans 10:17) and cement them in your mind and heart.
CEMENTING THE WORD INSTRUCTIONS
- Read the scripture (out loud to yourself). Now place your hand over the words so you can’t see them.
- Write as much of the verse as you can without uncovering and looking at the scripture.
- It’s okay, if you need to look at the words at first, cover the verse again and continue writing until you fill the page(s).
- Say the verse out loud to yourself, think about each word and ask the Spirit of Truth to teach you and to show you the heart of the Father.
