Comparing logos and Rhema. Page 230, The significance of rhema (as distinct from logos) is exemplified in the injunction (or commandment) to take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of GodEphesians 6:17, here the reference is not to the whole Bible as such, but to the individual scripture which the Spirit brings to our remembrance for use in time of need, a PREREQUISITE  being the REGULAR STORING OF THE MIND WITH SCRIPTURE.

Prerequisite, noun, a thing that is required as a prior condition for something else to happen or exist. In other words, you have to do this before you can do that. MEMORIZE the Word of God.

The teachings are the word of God, Psalm 33:11 states:
The counsel of the LORD standeth forever, the thoughts of his heart to ALL generations. These are the teachings, the thoughts of God’s heart to you and the teacher is the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 says, How be it when he the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth. As you memorize and meditate on his word, you will hear the teacher.
